Names

Baruch HaShem. My question may seem too simple, but my mushpia and I have been reading through the Gutnick Chumash together. We did not come from observant backgrounds, though that has since changed, so we don't have mastery of Hebrew. At one point, in reading the commentary, I asked her what the word "Toras" meant, as in the "Toras Menachem" section of commentary for each chapter. She did not know and we've tried to find information but have not found an answer. I would be very grateful if you could help us understand this term. Todah raba!

Shalom I have a son named Adrian and someone told me that Hadrian was a Roman emperor who was suppressed the Jewish people in the past. Adrian does not a literal bad meaning, and it means sea and Adriatic. In addition, my son also have a Jewish name, Jacob. My question is, should we change his name? Name changing has caused troubles and may have effects on his spirits. Regards

Shalom. I named my daughter Isabella. In studying Hebrew, I have become concerned that her name does not mean what I had been told. I believed her name meant devoted to God. But I have since discovered that her name is the same as Jezebel איזבל I am getting several different interpretations of Jezebel, including island dwelling and the word dung -“zebul”. Is there another way to interpret her name, especially if I spell it in Hebrew differently using a shin? I have elementary Hebrew understanding at this point, but could not her name mean either “woman to God” or “salvation to God”? How would I spell it? אישהבעל או ישהבעל Also what alteration in meaning would occur to add ה to the end? One online translation interpreted Ishabela to mean “there is no God”! Which obviously I wish to avoid. Thank you!
