How many different sects does Judaism have?

Answers

  1. There are no real sects within Judaism. What is true is that from all those who follow the way of the Torah, there are different customs depending on which geographic locations they came from. In simple terms, the Jews that came mostly from the Middle Eastern countries are called Sephardim, and those who came from European countries are called Ashkenazim.

All other groups who do not follow the teachings of the Torah are difficult to define exactly.
