Women’s Gloves

Question

I have very small hands for an adult male, even smaller than my wife’s hands. There are cheap ladies gloves that are available in stores in lots of colors, but the ones in dark neutral colors look like they can be men’s gloves. It’s convenient for my wife and I to be able to share them. Does a man wearing ladies gloves that don’t look particularly feminine violate the biblical prohibition against wearing clothes of the opposite gender?

  1. If the gloves are made specifically for women, there may be a problem with men wearing them. If, however, the gloves are made without a gender in mind, they may be worn. It might require speaking with the factory to find out. My feeling is that they probably make separate gloves for women and men because their hands are generally built differently. You might find that children’s gloves fit you, and you could buy gloves for boys.
