Answers

  1. The different Names of God indicate different facets of Him. For example, the Name of God that is spelled yud heh vav heh can spell out three different words (by doubling some of the letters), which are past, present, and future in Hebrew. This four letter Name refers to the fact that God exists above and beyond time.

The Name “El” refers to the strength of God. The Name Elohim refers to that facet of God that is found in the more physical dimensions of the world.

The seven main Names of God are: the Four Letter Name of God, Adonai, El, Eloha, Elohim, Shadai and Tzevaot.
