Is it permitted to forgo wearing a yarmulke in public if one fears they could be a victim of antisemitism?

    What a terribly sad indictment of today’s reality. Is it permissible to forgo wearing a Yarmulke in certain public places due to a fear of being attacked? Yes, I think that it is. But that does not mean that it is permissible to walk around bareheaded. It simply means that you should find an alternative head covering that is less-obviously Jewish.
