What is Pirchei?

Question

I hear about yeshiva boys studying in a group called Pirchei? Does it have anything to do with Pirkei Avot?

  1. Pirchei is spelled with a “chaf,” meaning “young ones,” and it normally refers to a group of unmarried boys coming together to do something that is Torah-related. In Orthodox circles, Pirchei is normally referring to a youth group that meets once a week.

On the other hand, the word Pirkei in Pirkei Avot is spelled with a kaf, coming from the word Perek, and it means “chapters”.
