Predated Hesped

Question

According to Halacha, may Jews write a hesped to be used for someone before they die? Also, may a Jew write their own hesped and request someone else read it after they die? Please provide sources

  1. Yes, they can. Jewish media often has ready for print Hespedim for Gedolim. In all events, there is no reason why a person cannot write their own Hesped with the instructions that someone read it at their funeral.
