I have read a lot about the Pharisees. My question is: Was it mandarory for a man to be married in order to serve as a Pharisee?

I recently heard from a dear friend in Venezuela that his 15yrs old daughter had aborted her baby in his house. He took her daughter to a clinic. Doctors found out there that someone had previously used some instrumentation to induced abortion and she was given illegal medication to finish the process. My friend is devastated and under a lot of pain since he saw the human form and can't forget that. Some friends think after she recuparates he should change her to a private school and have her do some volunteer work. My friend (the father) thinks this would be like a gift to her since money is scarce, and she should loose the year from school as a consequence for her actions and also to take time to reflect, along with doing volunteer work. I agree with him and also perhaps consider sending her to a private school next year to remove her from the negative influences she is having in that school. How does Judaism see this problem with abortion? and what course of accion should
