Being a Trader

I wanted to start trading, but I’m not quite sure if it’s allowed by the Torah.

    If you mean trading in stocks and shares then there is no problem with doing so according to the Torah. Depending in exactly which field you are planning on working in it might require talking to a Rabbi who is an expert in the Laws pertaining to what you want to work in just ascertain that everything that you are doing follows the Torah guidelines.
