Tables of Divorced Parents

Question

My parents are divorced. When I recite Birkat Hamazon at one of their homes and I insert the paragraph for eating a one’s parent’s table, do I recite the words for both parents, or only the parent whose table it is?

  1. I am inspired by your question as it reveals your level of sensitivity.

You should mention only the parent at whose home you are currently eating. The reason is to not cause either parent any discomfort by mentioning your other parent together with them.
