Lighting Candles on Yom Tov

If the the ner tamid blew out on chag and there is no other fire to light from, can the woman light from a new flame or does she not light?

  1. The only way that a flame can be ignited on Yom Tov is from a pre-existing flame. This means that the only possibility is for a candle to be lit from one of the neighbor’s pre-existing flames. If that is not a possibility, the Yom Tov candles should not be lit.
