    We are supposed to serve God with a sense of elevated reverence for Him and that means that we must try to be careful at all times to not sin. The Hebrew word for fear actually carries with it two different dimensions. The first refers to the feeling that a person should feel in case they do something that will deviate from the Will of God which will distance them from God. The second one is a fear of being punished for any sins that they may have done.
