Can u become friends with a sheyd (“demon”)?

    Leaving aside the fact that nowadays we are not on the spiritual level of being able to identify Sheidim, “demons,” perhaps I can turn the question around and ask why anyone would want to be “friends” with a sheid? They are demonic forces that bring catastrophic destruction in their wake. If so, why would anyone imagine that any good could possible come out of “befriending” one?
