Children and Ma’aser Money

Does paying for one’s children for things like food, clothes, school etc count towards the 10% of charity?

    According to most of the Halachic authorities, one should not use ma’aser money to pay for children’s education. According to all opinions, ma’aser should not be used for children’s day-to-day needs, such as food and clothing.
