Question
I am not Jewish, but I am a supporter of the state of Israel and I have been there twice. My best friend has become an active supporter of the Palestinians. He recently attended a rally in DC for a ceasefire. He is brainwashed by the propaganda and doesn’t get it what is really going on. I can’t reason with him on this. I told him that Hammas murdered thousands of Israeli children and took hundreds of hostages. His response is that two wrongs don’t make a right. What can I tell him now?

Question
Hi Rabbi, What’s the basis for our claim as Jews that Israel is the land promised by God to the Jewish People? Thanks

Question
I wish I could make aliyah in order to fulfill the mitzvah of living in Israel. I very much love Israel. And I have visited often. But aliyah would mean moving far away from my family and friends and the community I know and everything else that is familiar to me. Is there any mitzvah in visiting Israel every several years if you don’t live there permanently?

Question
I believe the founding of Israel is the accomplishment of Ancient prophecy of Tanach. Jews have the right to have their own nation. But Israel is threatened by her neighbors. Most of the nations in this world claim that Israel is a rogue state, occupying Palestine illegally. As a Noahide I want to support Israel. What shall I do? What shall I do to help the existence of Israel?

Question
Isaish 60:9-10 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. 10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. Is the "isle" in this verse "Britian" aka "Tarshis"? If this refers to the return of the Jewish people to their homeland "israel" by "ships" wouldn't this be referencing their return after 1948? Britain is an isle so in past history did the Jewish people ever return to their home in ships from any other nation?

Question
Dear Rabbi, why is moving to Israel called “making aliyah”?
