Question
I am thinking of having a child on my own (as a single parent). My child's "father" will be Jewish, but I will not know his name (donor). After the birth, the name is given as the child's name(s) "the son of" the father's name(s). What do I use? Avraham? Since we are all decendents of Avraham? Please help - I want my child to have a traditional Jewish upbringing, and feel this is imperative. The child will be named after my late and beloved father. Thanks.

Question
My boyfriend and I love each other very much. we were bestfriends for about a year before starting a romantic relationship. until about a month ago things were great. now we fight often and the little things that i once thought were cute annoy me. My boyfriend believes our "slump" is just a phase and that it will pass but I feel that our relationship has run its course. I also believe that since we have very different values and life plans it is not in the best interest of either of us to continue our relationship. What is stopping me from breaking it off is the fact that we really truly love eachother and that is was and is still my bestfriend and if we break up, both of our hearts will be broken and a frienship between us will be impossible. Do you think my feelings are justifed?

Question
Lechvod Harav, I was reading in a sefer that a person has a name from the side of holiness and a name from the side of impurity and depending on how he acts that's the name he will be fullfilling. Is his Jewish name the name from the side of purity and he has a totally different nam that we don't know about or is different sides of the same name.... I know that this is a kabbalistic idea but any clarity on it would be appreciated. Thank you. Bechvod rav, Leah
