Question
I am really trying to fight my Yetzer. It is getting warm here in NYC and everytime I go out and see the girls, my thoughts, urges, and eventually my actions turn to misdeeds and horrible sins that I really want to stop committing. I have asked about this before. I wish to start saying extra psalms. First to beg Hashem to help me get married so I take these urges and turn them for good. Second, to ask Hashem to bless me with more strength to fight my Yetzer. Please can you tell me four or five psalms I can say every day for strength to fight the Yetzer and a wife? Thanks.

Question
i am making aliyah in the summer and i was just wondering how many years would i have to be keeping the festivals for eight days before i can do it for just the seven?

Question
Hello Rabbi, I have a question concerning Psalm 85. I am aware that it is often applied to the Babylonian Exile, and the return from the Babylonian exile. However, I was told by a Rabbi that this was not the original meaning when the Psalm was composed. He told me that Rashi (I think it was Rashi) says that it was about written by Assir son of Korah, and that he wrote it about his personal plight, then the Psalm was later expanded and taken to be about the Babylonian Exile. Is this an accurate understanding of Psalm 85? What was the original meaning of Psalm 85? Thank You David.

Question
My daughter attends a German Real Schule and resides in Ludwigshafen, Germany, with her mother. This past Spring she related an hour's religion class during which the teacher spoke about African Jews practicing female circumcision. I can find no basis, either in the Torah or in Commentaries, that Jews practice female circumcision. I suspect that this falls into the category of the high school textbooks in Saudi Arabia that teach the 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion" as factual history. Or is there something I have missed.
