In Parashat Lech Lecha when it speaks of all that Abram took with him the word haNefesh is used I thought Nefesh is singular but it is always tranlslated as souls. Why? L'Shalom Meir

Hi we are a frum couple we B'h keep T"H & we have a local rav we consult regularly the reason we are asking you is cause it is a topic we felt more compfortable writing & getting an answer we were taught in pre martial lessons that during the Mitzvah onah the M is on top & the F is on bottem however we did so the first few times & my wife felt strong pain so we tried sideways & it did not hurt & this is what we have been doing for the past 2 years we tried a couple bof times to do the way we were taught & it was painfull however I have been learning in gemorah that it is not so simple this position halachachly please help us we want to do it 100% halachacly

Rabbi Reuven Lauffer dear sir, thank you for your attention to my question and your kind condolence. it has has been a most difficult time and your blessing and HASHEM'S are most appriciated. i do have another question. my son dror passed away december 19, 2006. the time was about 7:00pm. chevra kadisha arrived 2 hours later. the jewish date i have for his passing is 28 (kaf chat ba keslev). 5th candle of Chanukah. is that correct? my question/s is i would like to know the 11th month yortzit date. also, he was buried on december 22,2006 at 3:00pm. we are coming up to his 1st year and i understand from your email to me that on the first year (12 months), the yortzit is on the burial date. can you conferm that date to me. we are planning on going up in the morning of that correct day. thanking you in advance for your kind attention to this matter. sincerely, hana goren Just Ask! wrote: On October 20, 2007 5:42PM
