Question
Does Rambam give any reasons as to why Jewish celebrations always involve a festive meal? Can you also give me references which I read myself? Thanks

Question
Hi, Two questions have been bothering me- 1) When we try to understand how an omnipresent G-d could create a world which is not Him, people answer with the concept of tzimtzum, saying "somehow G-d contracted Himself, so to speak, and this makes it possible." We are told that understanding such a concept is possible only through serious learning of Kabbalah, which most of us are not capable of. I know that a person cannot expect to understand everything, but such a basic question seems to be in the "mystery" category. What makes this different than something like the Catholic concept of Trinity, which makes no logical sense but is also said to be just a mystery that the human mind can't understand? Or is this something we can accept based just on proofs pointing to the truth of Matan torah? 2) Why would the existence of a G-d neccesarily obligate us? If the human mind can't understand G-d's "way of thinking," why do we assume that He created us for any reason that we can understand? Why would the existence of a G-d neccesarily lead us to look for proof of any instruction from Him? Thank you very much!
