good morning.......... this question is in relation to jewish slang words.......... in the area in florida where we live........many of us are re engaging in the language of our grandparents.........there are times when words........ some of question character........come to our discussion.........at this time the word and forgive the spelling if incorrect..........SHINY....... is in question..........can you please give me the defintion so we can get pass this questionable word........and its meaning......i do hope that it is not one that is negative in nature as my friend sugguested.............it is important to know ...............so that we have an answer? thank you ..........lois

What is the real name of the savior?

Hello, I am Elijah Land.  I have been called a "Jewbag" many times in my life.  I am currently 65 years old, 850 pounds, African-American, and of the Jewish Religion.  I have contemplated for many years what the meaning and origin of the word "Jewbag" are.  I have traveled the world asking the most wise of Rabbi and other spiritual leaders but none seem to have an answer.  If you have my long awaited answer please do respond. Thank you very much.                                        -Elijah-

Lechvod Harav, amosh I have gone to Yeshiva my whole life, went to seminary.... and I am still not sure what exactly occured on Shevuot! Yes we celebrate the recieving of the Torah but did we actually get it then? Any clarity would be much appreciated. Thank you.
