Rabbi, We in the US have an Orthodox senator from the state of Conneticut who supports abortion at any and all stages for any reason and he is for homosexual rights and even their marrage, how can this be? Can a Jew call himself Orthodox and take such positions. And finally, how can religious Jews of any persuation support a political party which supports these views? Thank you for your time.

There is a game/toy that looks like a top called a Draydel. What is the orgin of this object and how is it played? Is it something two people play against each other, and what are the rules? Is this a religious object?

In Genesis 4 verse 17 It says "And Cain knew his wife".  Where did his wife come from since the previous verses talk about Cain and Abel?

I know that during the month of Elul you recite Le'David Hashem Ori twice a day.  I thought that starts with Rosh Chodesh Elul, but someone in shul said, no, it starts with the 1st day of Elul, which is a day later. Which is correct?
