Why didn’t Abraham and Isaac want their sons to marry Canaanite women?

    Good question. Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch explains that the Canaanite people were completely morally degenerate and immodest. Such a wife would not be a suitable soulmate for their moral and modest sons and would not be appropriate Matriarchs for the Jewish People.
