Torah – The Tree of Life

Ezekiel 47:12: “And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and upon that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for (medicine).

trufah (Tav~Resh~Vav~Pei~Hei) remedy, healing (medicine) – also has Torah (Tav~Vav~Resh ~Hei) in it.

Is the Torah chayay tree of life eternal?

  1. Torah is described in many places as the Tree of Life, Proverbs 3:18. The Rabbis explains that the Torah is analogous to the Tree of Life because, just as a tree produces fruits year after year, so too does Torah study constantly enrich those studying the Torah.
