  1. Once an oven has been Kashered (details to follow) the oven can be used for either dairy or meat. Once the oven has been used once it will then take on the attribute of whatever was cooked in it. So, for example, if the oven was used for meat the oven is now meaty and cannot be used in its present state for dairy.

    How does one Kasher an oven? It needs to be cleaned thoroughly, not used for twenty four hours and then left on its highest setting for an hour. If there is a selfclean program that is best and easiest – you don’t need to do anything except put it on.
