Who was the first person to learn the Torah?

  1. I am not sure! I think that the answer may depend on what you mean by “learn the Torah.”
    In theory it might be Moses, but Moses did not “learn” Torah in the conventional sense. However, having said that, the Talmud relates that Moses went up Mount Sinai for forty days and forty nights in order to be taught the Torah by God. Perhaps Aaron was the first person to learn the Torah, since he was the first person to whom Moses related the Torah which he just received from God.
