Is steamed rice Kosher?

    In general, rice is Kosher. However, due to its tendency to become infested with bugs it has to be checked thoroughly before it can be eaten. And steamed in a kosher utensil. Also, any rice that is cooked by a non-Jew is not considered to be Kosher unless it was done so under special supervision.

    What is kosher utensil?If the rice cooked by non jew which is not offered to any gods or goddeses is still non kosher?

    A Kosher utensil is a utensil that has not been used for any non-Kosher food.
