Roasting Marshmallows on the Menorah

Would it be a sin to roast kosher marshmallows on the menorah?

    Yes, actually, it is. The halacha is that we are not to allowed to have any physical benefit from the Chanukah lights. That means we cannot read using the lights and it also means that we cannot roast marshmallows on the Chanukah lights (or anything else for that matter).
