If my husband hears havdallah in shul, is he allowed to say havdallah for me when he arrives home?

  1. Yes, he can. Havdalah is the same as Kiddush. In the same way that your husband can make Kiddush for you on Shabbos even though he heard Kiddush somewhere else, so too he can make Havdalah for you. If he wants, your husband can say to himself that he will not fulfill his obligation to hear Havdalah in Shul and in that way, when he comes home and makes Havdalah it will be for himself as well as for you.
