Postpartum

Question

I am currently postpartum in my 4th week and I’m already clean and ready to do הפסק טהרה. But the doctor doesn’t allow vaginal sex before 6-8 weeks. Am I allowed to go to the mikva? although I won’t be able to have vaginal sex until a couple more weeks, so I can be with my husband till then…

    May you go to the Mikveh? Yes, you can. Will it be very, very difficult? Yes, it will. My personal feeling is that, despite it being permissible to go to the Mikveh, it might be prudent to wait another week or so, so that you can go to the Mikveh at the time coincides with your doctor’s instructions.
