Answers

  1. The Egyptians worshiped the sheep, and the Jewish People putting the blood on the doorposts was a sign of complete faith in God that they could disgrace the Egyptian idol like that. Without that absolute sense of trust in God, they were putting their lives in grave danger by doing what they did. In effect, the blood on the doorposts represents the Jewish People’s newly established status as the special nation of God as an example of how to be close to the Creator.
