Mikve on Yom Kippur Eve

Question

My work schedule does not always give me time to go to the mikvah on erev Yom Kippur. So I haven’t gone every year. How important is it to go? How bad is it to skip sometimes?

    If you cannot get to the Mikve before Yom Kippur you can stand under the shower and allow nine “kabin” measures of water (almost 22 liters of water) to pour all over your body. In general, it is permissible to go to the Mikve a day (or even days) earlier.
