Length of Tallit Gadol

Does the length of a tallit include the length of the tassels?

    I assume that you mean the tassels on the Tallit, itself, and not the Tzitzit strings. If so, the minimum size for a Talit Gadol (prayer shawl) is that it be large enough that the person wearing it can put it over his head and wrap his body in it.

    Yes, I actually mean the tzitzit strings. If tallit size is 72, does 72 include tzitzit string lengths or is it the material only?

    I would assume that it doe snot include the Tzitzit strings but it would be best to ask the supplier to make sure.
