Perish the thought! King David and Jonathan had a relationship that was as close as can be and it transcended their social and royal standing to the point that Jonathan was prepared to forgo the throne – against his father’s wishes – in order to let King David rule. However, at no point did their relationship cross any Torah boundaries. The Torah states absolutely that the act of homosexuality is completely forbidden.
