2 Chronicles 32:31

Help ! In 2 Chronicles 32:31 it states that Hashem left King Hezekiah to test him and to see or know all that was in his heart. Since Hashem knows all things, why would this be neccesary? Does this actually mean that Hezekiah would learn about what was within his own heart ? Also is there any evidence as to what the miracle was that the babylonion emmisaries were inquiring about? Was this all in order to show Hezekiah whether there was any pride left in his heart?

  1. The verse is not suggesting that God does not know what is in Hezekiah's heart. Rather, it is as if God is giving Hezekiah the opportunity to choose how to react to the situation as opposed to being told what to do by God.
