Question
Why are most holidays celebrated for 8, not 7, days? My mother taught us it was because in the diaspora the calendar might have gotten a little "off', so observant Jews celebrate for 8 days to make sure not to miss the proper date. I told this to friends at a Seder this week and they all laughed at me. What is the real reason?

Question
As a Sephardi Kohanim or Cohen however it is pronounced, I have football trials coming up would it be okay for me to see a faith-healer, meditate and use psycic powers, to hopefully help play better and relax me before my trials.

Question
We are obviously not Jewish (or we would already know the answer to this). We want to have a Passover Seder on a Friday night. When Passover falls on Friday night, do we still lite the traditional Shabbat Candles? If so is this where we start? (We will have some Jewish people with us, but we are hosting and we don't want to offend them.) Thank you very much-
