Question
Question for Rabbi Mordechai Becher: I just attended your lecture at Ohr Somayach. You mentioned that Rambam considered Aristotle to be the most brilliant mind. Yet, Aristotle denied the existence of God. My question: This seems inconceivable. The existence of God is a basis truth. How can someone who is brilliant miss that point? You mentioned that if one has a large ego that it doesn't leave room for God. Even with Ego, how does a person live in this world and yet deny a creative force? Is there any text where Rambam counters the Aristotlian argument against God? Thank you for your time. Paul Weber
