Question
I come from a frum family, although I am no longer as observant as my brother and cousins (many of whom are Lubavitch). My mother is the director of an orthodox shul in the midwest, where my family has belonged for generations. My mom is diabetic, has had heart surgery, and cannot walk far much of the time (especially in the extreme heat or cold). I am wondering if it is permitted by Halacha for her to drive or be driven to shul for services on Shabbos or the holidays. What do you think? I want to believe that Hashem makes room for my mother. I want to believe that it is most important for her to daven, participate in community events, and to feel the joy of her connection to her faith. Is there any dispensation for this circumstance? I want to encourage her to be at the shul despite her health problems. I hate to see her at home alone on Shabbos when she could be experiencing the joy of being among family and friends for shul services. Your advice and feedback would be welcome and appreciated. Many thanks, Andy Abrams

Question
Why is it when a woman gets married in the Orthodox religion she has to wear a wig. Everyone has already seen her hair while growing up and just before the marriage, so what does this represent? Thank you
