Question
I am studying to become a psychologist. I have discovered that when it comes to those that have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, there are some studies showing an association between loss of previously held beliefs and this anxiety disorder. In the situation that a prospective convert to Judaism has PTSD, would the person be allowed to convert taking into consideration this study? Would it be considered that the person is making a rational decision to convert to Judaism? Thank you.

Question
A friend of mine said "If you so desire I can come up with hundreds of documented quotes from Ben Gurion and Mr. Herzl which clearly state their intentions to ethnically cleanse the area to make room for Jewish immigrants. I really dont have a problem with that. They muscled there way in with help from the U.S. and England. I saw a documentary where Likud cabinet members quoted Ariel Sharon as saying "Don't worry about Washington...we control Washington". This boast may please Israelis, but as an American it makes me mad. How do I address this?

Question
We will be visiting a small island near Vancouver BC this summer and I had heard once that if an island was small (no main roads etc) one did not need an eruv. Is this true? Do you know what are the qualifications for deciding whether or not one needs an eruv to carry on Shabbat on certain islands? thank you in advance for your answer. Sincerely, Aimee Promislow
