Question
Hello! I think I was given wrong advice- I wanted to send my condolences to a close friend upon the death of his mother. I was told>> There isn't anything to say in Hebrew but there is usually a Hebrew saying that translated that goes something like, "MAY YOU ONLY KNOW HAPPINESS FROM THIS DAY FORWARD." ...>>>. ...and then I wrote "Shalom" But now I think this is a saying for a wedding toast! My friend hardly noticed anything amiss and just said "thank you." Can you suggest something I should have said? Can you suggest a way to correct this mistake, if it was a mistake? Thank you!

Question
Jews for Jesus uses a passuk from Isaiah/Yisheyahu that says "he was wounded because of our transgressions and bruised because of our iniquities; his sufferings were that we might have peace and by his injuy we are healed" It's 53:5. I KNOW this is Sheker because it doesn't apply to Yashka. Can you please tell me what this passuk is REALLY referring to including the Rashis and other commentaries? I would really appreciate it if you'd disprove this passuk from a Jews for J point of view and straighten my head out with the Emes. Thank you SO much for your consideration!
