Question
My son is having his Bar Mitzvah on June 16, 2007. His haftorah is Shabbat Rosh Chodesh. What is the closest Shabbat Rosh Chodesh date after April 1, 2010, and also what is the closest Shabbat Rosh Chodesh date after December 19, 2013? It may seem silly, but we are all learning his haftorah together and I'm just thinking about future Bat and Bar Mitzvah dates in the years 2010 and 2013. Thank you! Sincerely, Kim

Question
Rabbis are asking all of us to pray to G-d and do more Mitzvahs, due to the tragedy in Israel. I’m not religious. Yet, I prayed and did many Mitzvoth and even the Micveh and even tried good relations with Moslems in the University, as a first good gesture, which of course was totally betrayed by these inferior and evil sub humans. Since the major tragedy started striking Israel in October 2000, I did all the things and yet, didn't work, the more we pray, it looks like the worst it gets. This pain will never end...Why should I pray now and beg G-d, if he doesn’t answer at all? How can ones pray if he/she is totally sure that it doesn’t work? Should this person still pray or just let it…. Example, the day before yesterday I prayed the Tehillim like never before. Screaming, in silence, repeating it, complementing, giving more Tsedakah, crying…WOW…when I got up, more Israeli soldiers were killed and mutilated…Wow…it works….(for the moslems….) I'm so angry for being Jewish, for what if I were not to be born Jewish; at least I would be living like any bystander on the street, with no bloody spiritual pain....Today I envy non Jews...they do not suffer....e.g. Evangelists.... I there anybody who can give me a good reason to pray, in practical terms? Hello.....?
