Rabbi, in Christianity the words Theology and Systematic Theology are use for the beliefs, concepts that the bible teaches on subjects concerning G-d and the Bible. I know historically that Judaism has not had such a thing, no classes called theology in the synagogues of the second Temple time. These words as well as Doctrine are use to summarize as you well know what the bibles says about subjects like Sin, God, Love, Redemption est. What would such teachings have been called in the second Temple period, if one went say to a Bible college in that time, what would the school catalog call the classes that taught what G-d has said about the main subjects concerning Himself and man. Even today what would be a good Jewish name, Hebrew title for such teachings, set of truths spoken by G-d, recorded in His word. If a synagogue, Jewish college was to put together the most important concepts that the Bible teaches on thins like Sin, repentance, who G-d is, what would be a good name for such a set of beliefs that organize the scriptures that revel what G-d says and summarizes what we believe about that subject. Dennis
