Hello. I am writing from Argentina. I have a query about tefilin. Few days ago, I noticed that some hairs appeared on the outside of a hole in the tefilin shel rosh. I thought that it was a defect in the manufacturing and with a small scissor I cut them. Now , I have read that those small hairs represent a "siman" that indicate the type of tefilin (Rashi or Rabbeinu Tam). I am very worried because of that I did. My tefilin became "posul" ? Hello, I work with a woman who recently converted to judaism from cathlocism. I am jewish have been born jewish. My family are jewish. We are both close, and work together., However, we always get into arguments about israel and jewish stuff. today, though she really hurt me and insulted me. She is conviced that I don't apprecaite my jewishness and that she is a "better jew" than me, simply because she raises a family who are jewish.
