Is the World a Cauldron of Calamity?

Question

Iyov 28:5: “As for the earth, out of it comes bread, and under it is turned up as fire (“esh” – fire – Aleph Shin)

sand (“cheled – Chet Lamed Dalet)

life would glide swiftly short duration age transient (“chol” – Chet Lamed) meaning profane and common unholy

Clearly we see the foundation of this present world is rooted in profanity and unholiness. Even the sandy shores declare its vanity.

“caldron kallachath” – (Kuph Lamed Chet Tav} has these words

“chol” – (Chet Lamed) meaning profane, unholy common as sand

Also “ach” – (Aleph Chet) brother resemble kinship, same tribe

ach – oh! alas! woe! ach – chafing dish fire pot hearth ach oach howler jackal doleful creature tqal (Tav Kuph Lamed) – verb to balance to weigh Kal – (Kuph Lamed) – swift rapid voice a sound chath – (Chet Tav) – crushed afraid terror

Is the “great escape ” from this cauldron of calamity concealed owlam {Ayin Vav Lamed Mem} within ETERNITY?

Answers

  1. Possibly. But it is only as much of a “cauldron of calamity” as we allow it to be. The etymology of the world, “olam – world,” is “elem – hidden.” Our Sages teach us that that world has been created in such a way that God is concealed within it. For those who seek, He can found everywhere, but those who do not care to look see a natural world with no Divinity.
