If one counts the omer by saying the count only in English (or another language) and not Hebrew, is the mitzvah still valid?

  1. Yes. It is permitted to count the Omer in any language the person understands. They should use exactly the same formula that the Hebrew text follows. So, for example, in English: “Today is the thirty eighth day of the Omer, which is five weeks and three days of the Omer.”
