Beloved of God: Yediydyah

Question

I am curious about the three Yud’s in Ydiydyah 2 Samuel 12:25:

Yud~Dalet~Yud~Dalet~Yud~Hei.

It is rare to see a triple letter Yud in Hebrew words. Does this occurrence reveal something more?

    That is the standard spelling of the name Yedidyah. The name Yedidyah is a beautiful name. It is actually composed of two different words – Yedid and Yah. Yedid means beloved and Yah means God. Hence the name Yedidyah means “Beloved of God”.
