Is there a reason curse words are considered dirty or wrong?

    Yes, very much so. Nachmanides explains that when we use curse words not only are we offending and abusing the person we are talking to, but we are also sullying the pure soul that was given to us. Every curse word that we use desensitizes us to the fact that we were created in the “image of God” – and the way that we behave and talk is supposed to reflect that fact.
