Question:

My mother is Jewish, I was not raised in the religion. Can I marry a Jew? Can I be married by a Rabbi?

AskTheRabbi.org answered:

You are Jewish even if you were not raised Jewish. You can marry a Jew - in fact. the only person that you can be married to according to Jewish law is another Jew. And definitely you can be married by an Orthodox Rabbi. I wish you much happiness and success and please feel free to submit any questions you have about Judaism to us at "Just Ask!" www.asktherabbi.org .
